Tailored to both new and experienced writers, this four-week course will examine our definitions and assumptions of poetry by exploring sensory practice. In each session, we will look at form and technique in the work of contemporary poets; students will be given both in-class prompts and take home generative assignments. Each meeting will offer the opportunity to workshop poems from the week before in a supportive and encouraging community.
